The most common insects that you could expect inside and around your house are spiders and ants so regular pest treatment (GPT) is important to maintain a safe environment for your family and pets.

A general pest treatment should be carried out at least once a year to avoid any infestation.

Our GPT spray will include:

- All the interior of the house. Including: roof cavity and subfloor, garage.

- All the exterior of the house. Including: fences, outdoor furniture, decks, garage, garden shed, carport, clothesline, retaining walls, rubbish bins, letter box.

This will keep away: spiders, cockroaches, some ants, millipedes, any other flying and crawling insects.

What you must do before we arrive:

For an effective elimination/control of any pest, it requires a partnership between you (the owner/homeowner of the property) and us (Mountainwide Pest Control), both taking action to get the pests out. A lack of preparation could make a treatment unsafe, unsuccessful or cause reinfestation of the entire home or building. We will not treat areas that are not prepared as we specify.

- Keep your home as clean and neat as possible

- You must advise if any member has special allergy problems

- You must advise if anyone is pregnant, under the age of one, or elderly

- You must remove and store any food from tables or on top of benches, including utensils

- You must remove any clothes from your clothesline or rack

- You must advise if there are pets at home (birds, dogs, cats, snakes, fish, others)

- You must remove your pet/pets or keep them away in a safe room while we treat your property

- You must remove any pet food, water sources and pet toys

- You must keep appliances or any item along the walls or around the skirting boards clear of furniture (where possible). Furniture and other items should be at least 60-70 centimeters away from the walls.

Safety precautions:

- Any persons who may be particularly sensitive, or who may suffer from allergic reactions, should, as a matter of precaution, remain out of the premises for a period of twenty-four (24) hours and not return until after the premises have been fully ventilated. Leave any air-conditioners on ‘vent mode’ (so they circulate outside air into the building) for a period of at least four hours after the treatment or after re-occupying.

- Should you suspect anyone has encountered a treated area and has been affected in any way contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 and have this notice with you.

- You must avoid contact with treated surfaces until the insecticide has dried. This could take one to three (1-3) to twenty-four (24) hours in some cases.

- On external treatments close all doors and windows during the treatment and keep closed until the odor has cleared. This could take three (3) to twenty-four (24) hours in some cases. This is done to avoid any odor entering the building.

- When gaining access to, or working in the roof void and/or subfloor areas, overalls and gloves and a respirator should be worn to avoid contact with any insecticidal products. The overalls and gloves should be washed immediately and separate from other washing or disposed of as soon as practicable.

- You must observe any verbal advice provided by our firm or our licensed technician at the time of treatment.
